About the Role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Health & Social Care Teacher to join a successful Further Education College in Mansfield on a full-time temporary basis.

The successful candidate will hold a recognised teaching qualification, possess a degree in Health & Social Care, and have experience delivering Level 3 Health & Social Care qualifications.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on learners within a supportive and rewarding FE environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Health & Social Care lessons across Further Education programmes.
  • Teach and support learners studying Level 3 Health & Social Care qualifications.
  • Support the delivery of Psychology and Sociology qualifications where required.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with awarding body specifications.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement, and learner progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Support learners in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Essential Requirements

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
  • A degree in Health & Social Care or a closely related subject.
  • Experience delivering Level 3 Health & Social Care qualifications within a Further Education or secondary education setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one prior to commencement.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience teaching BTEC, NCFE, or A-Level programmes.
  • Experience working within a Further Education College environment.
  • A strong understanding of current educational practices, assessment methods, and learner support strategies.
