Mansfield, Nottinghamshire Position: Part-Time (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, Full Days) Contract: Temporary Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Lecturer to join a successful Further Education College on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Level 2 Early Years and Childcare qualifications , supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for progression within the Early Years sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact on learner outcomes within a supportive FE environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and effective teaching across Level 2 Early Years programmes . Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with awarding body requirements. Monitor learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback. Support learners in developing both theoretical knowledge and practical Early Years skills. Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement, and learner progress. Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Prepare learners for progression into employment or further study. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning. Essential Requirements A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent). A relevant qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Education, or a related subject . Experience delivering Level 2 Early Years and Childcare qualifications within a Further Education or training setting. Strong knowledge of Early Years frameworks and best practice. Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills. An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service , or a willingness to obtain one prior to commencement. Desirable Requirements Experience delivering CACHE, NCFE, BTEC, or similar vocational qualifications. Previous experience working within a Further Education College. Industry experience within an Early Years setting. Knowledge of safeguarding and learner welfare requirements. What We Offer Competitive hourly rate.
